The thyssenkrupp Test Tower in Rottweil offers you the highest visitors' platform in Germany at 232 metres. The platform is accessible without barriers and offers a covered interior and a walk-through outside area.

For safety reasons, prams / strollers, larger items of luggage such as rucksacks, and also dogs (or other pets) cannot be taken onto the platform.

Public visitors' platform

The thyssenkrupp Test Tower in Rottweil offers you the highest visitors' platform in Germany at 232 metres. The platform is accessible without barriers and offers a covered interior and a walk-through outside area.

If you use a particularly large wheelchair model or mobility scooter, please make inquiries with regard to dimensions before your visit.

For safety reasons, prams / strollers, larger items of luggage such as rucksacks, and also dogs (or other pets) cannot be taken onto the platform.

In order to make your visit to the thyssenkrupp Test Tower as pleasant and safe as possible, we ask you to bear the following information in mind:

  • Park your vehicle in the marked and signposted car parks and parking spaces.
  • You can purchase tickets online or directly at the box office.
  • Ensure that you are healthy and do not suffer from a fear of heights (vertigo).
  • Leave handbags / holdalls, hand luggage, rucksacks, umbrellas, prams / strollers etc. in the car. You cannot take these items onto the platform. This also applies to bottles, beverages and food.
  • No animals of any kind may be taken onto the platform.
  • Use the toilets in the entrance area before you travel up to the platform.
  • There is a wide variety of restaurants in Rottweil. There is no catering on the outdoor viewing platform.
  • Children under 14 years can only enter the tower if accompanied by adults.
  • Wheelchair users with carers must report directly to the box office on arrival. 
  • Should you have any other questions, our personnel on site will be glad to assist.

Guided tours & group visits

At the moment, no reservations for guided tours, group visits or tickets can be accepted. As soon as this is possible, we will announce it on the internet site.
